Split office proposed
A plan being introduced by Bridger-Teton National Forest Supervisor Jacque Buchanan would result in a supervisor’s office being split between Jackson and Alpine. The plan is still in draft form and needs approval from the U.S. Forest Service’s regional and Wash-ington offices.
Trusted with education
Jackson lawyer Brad Mead is one of a dozen members of the University of Wyoming’s board of trustees. Like his late grandfather, former Wyoming Gov. Cliff Hansen, Mead believes in the transformative power of education.

This weekend, horse teams from across the West will thunder down a snowy quarter-mile track at Melody Ranch. The Jackson Hole Shrine Club’s 42nd annual Cutter Races will include Calcutta betting, men in funny hats and elaborate tailgating setups.
