The Jackson Hole High School Lady Broncs swim team swam to a state championship over the weekend, taking seven state titles in the process.
The Wyoming 3A swimming state championship was held in Gillette.
Jackson won the meet with 288.5 points, beating rival Lander, which ended the tournament in second place with 229 points.
Junior Connor Tarver took the state title in the 200-yard medley and the 100-yard backstroke; led the 200 medley relay; and anchored the 400 freestyle relay to state championships.
Freshman Kiana Phelps took the reverse legs of each relay, and was the victor in the 200-yard freestyle and 100-yard freestyle.
Tarver and Phelps were joined in the 400-yard freestyle relay by seniors Flynn Guerrieri and Becca Hamilton. Sophomore Jaime Pardee and Hamilton completed the 400 freestyle relay squad.
A final relay team composed of Guerrieri, freshman Elsa Smith, junior Hanna Todd and junior Kelly Krause won the 200 freestyle relay.
Tarver broke the team record in the 200 medley, swimming the race in 2 minutes, 11.71 seconds, and also won the 100 backstroke, finishing in 58.74.
Phelps also broke a team record in the 100 freestyle, completing the race in 53.71.
“We had 16 of our 18 qualifiers swim-ming on the second day,” Coach Jim Jenkins said. “I am so proud of the girls and everything that they’ve done this season.”
