King sale under way

Prize pets
Bella Wood always wanted a pet turtle. After winning a tiny red-eared slider in a carnival game at the Teton County Fair last month, she has been learning of the cost, responsibility and time required for amphibian ownership. The goldfish game on the midway also suddenly made dozens of families new pet owners.
Bronc preseason
Jackson Hole High School football, golf, volleyball, tennis, swimming and cross-country teams held their first practices this week, marking the rapid approach of the beginning of the school year and another season of fall sports.

Hoback hawks ribs
Give back to firefighters and eat some legendary barbecue, complete with secret sauce, at the 36th annual Hoback Volunteer Firefighters picnic Saturday. More than 3,000 pounds of babyback ribs are slated for the grill.
